Post " <input type="hidden" ... /> HELP ME!!
Hi everyone,

In my project I have used hidden type of INPUT in HTML for transfering data between my pages, but when I run my program and in the explorer when I click on the VIEW ( on IE menu ) and then select the source then I can watch the contents of my INPUT fields I have used.
I don't want the user sees them, what should I do? If there are type of hidden so why they show their contents!!!!!

Help me please

Sincerely Yours
  Saman J.

Could you give us a little more information?  Your being too broad.  Like what is the hidden field being used for?

Look dear 'mofomikeman', I want to add some new features to a website that has been created before. The new part is NEWS section. Imagin our admin can do anything with news, e.g. adding photos, editing and many more.
I use these <INPUT type='hidden'... /> for keeping some values like newsID or the count of a news' photos if any and some more, but I don't want to let it be shown to the users.
I don't use SESSIONs or COOKIEs because of some security reasons.

I hope, I explained well.

Sincerely Yours
  Saman J.

Code:

<input type='hidden'>

it is just a hidden element
users can always see it through source
it just can't be hidden in source because the browser needs to interpret it

Hi Saman,
I believe there is no reason to hide this field in your case as you doesn't transmit any security information there if I understand you correctly.
But if you do for example password or code, I would suggest to encrypt value with PHP crypt function for example, and later compare encrypted values with one in database or input by user.
But for your task that's not necessary IMHO.
